Skin Preparation

Gently exfoliate 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs.

Arrive with clean skin — avoid applying lotions, oils, deodorants, or creams to the area being waxed.

If you are prone to ingrown hairs, use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt in the days leading up to your appointment.
Hair Length

Hair should be at least ¼ inch long (about the size of a grain of rice). This allows the wax to grip properly for the best results.
Comfort & Sensitivity

Take an over-the-counter pain reliever (such as ibuprofen) 30–60 minutes before your appointment if desired.

Avoid caffeine and alcohol on the day of your service, as they can increase skin sensitivity.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing to minimize irritation after your wax.
Skin Safety

Avoid tanning, sun exposure, or spray tans for 24–48 hours before your appointment.

Refrain from using harsh skincare products (such as retinoids, glycolic acid, or chemical peels) for several days prior.

If you are taking medications such as Accutane or Retin-A, please consult with your provider before waxing.
Timing

Try to avoid scheduling your wax right before or during your menstrual cycle, as your skin may feel more sensitive.

Proper aftercare is essential to keep your skin smooth, healthy, and irritation-free. Please follow these guidelines after your waxing service:
Immediately After Waxing

Your skin may be slightly red or sensitive — this is normal and should subside within 24–48 hours.

Avoid touching the waxed area unnecessarily to reduce the risk of irritation or infection.

Apply a soothing, fragrance-free lotion, aloe vera, or a recommended post-wax product to calm the skin.
For the First 24–48 Hours

Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning beds, and spray tans.

Skip saunas, hot tubs, and very hot showers or baths.

Refrain from heavy workouts or excessive sweating, which can irritate freshly waxed skin.

Avoid tight clothing that may cause friction on the waxed area.

Do not apply perfumes, deodorants, or harsh products to the area.
Preventing Ingrown Hairs

Begin gentle exfoliation 2–3 days after your wax, and continue regularly to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Moisturize daily with a non-comedogenic lotion to keep the skin hydrated and smooth.
Hair Growth & Maintenance

Do not shave between waxing appointments — shaving can disrupt the growth cycle and reduce results.

For best results, schedule your wax every 4–6 weeks, depending on your personal hair growth cycle.
For optimal results, use products that contain salicylic acid or tea tree oil:

Salicylic acid helps exfoliate inside the pores, preventing buildup and reducing the chances of ingrown hairs.

Tea tree oil has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the skin and prevent infection.
Use these ingredients as part of your post-waxing routine, but avoid overuse to prevent irritation—especially on sensitive skin.
